Director Biography – Juan C. Linares

Juan C. Linares is a Puerto Rican filmmaker who’s fixated on character studies and darkly humorous stories. His debut film as a producer, The Return of Ernesto Pagán, won special recognition in the 2019 Puerto Rico International Short Film Festival Cinefiesta. Similarly, his short film Dandy, which he co-wrote and directed, won the Best Actor award in the 7th Made in Europe Film Festival. It received further accolades including Best Actor and Director’s Choice Best Short, in the 2018 Rincón International Film Festival. His latest short film “Warren?” was produced and filmed on location in Chicago.
