Director’s Biography
Eddie Mujica is a Cuban-American actor, writer, director and Emmy-nominated producer from Miami, Florida. He is an alum of The Second City in Chicago, where he wrote and performed in two critically-acclaimed resident stage reviews, Apes of Wrath and Soul Brother, Where Art Thou?, after traveling the country with The Second City Touring Company. He currently serves as a consulting producer at CBS’ The Talk, writes/produces content for Broadway Video’s Más Mejor, and runs a monthly variety show featuring all-Latinx talent. Past credits include NBC’s Late Night Writers Workshop and the CBS Diversity Showcase. His short film Waterboy was a finalist in the 2017 Just For Laughs festival.
I aim to tell authentic stories that lean heavily on my background of growing up as a first-generation Cuban-American in this country. Latinos are vastly underrepresented in the industry and it’s time we show the world what we’re all about.
