Director Statement

La luna y el colibrí illustrates the emotions of immigration, based on my own experiences, the experience of my parents who made the decision to move to another country, and my wife’s experience. It’s a story of letting go to what keeps one from moving on, while at the same time using that element to push forward. It is a story about being with your loved ones regardless of the piece of land in which one is standing on. The emotions of fear, anxiety, danger accompany one in the path to find comfort, fulfillment and love.
