Synopsis
A prodigy musician trapped in a rural town fights for her freedom to achieve greatness.
Peruvian-American Donna Bonilla Wheeler is a Los Angeles-based, Afra-Indigenous Latinx writer/director of female-focused projects. Her original screenplays have been Nicholl Fellowship semi/quarter Finalists, Austin 2nd Rounders, Slamdance Lab selects, Sundance Lab finalists, IFP No Borders Selection, and DTLA Screenplay award winners. She co-created the MIPTV2020 Finalist/ In Development Latinx Drama Series, CLASH. Donna is a Cannes MIPTV2020 Producer to Watch, an Alliance of Women Directors Industry Support fellow, AWD Directing Shadow, and Outfest Directing Shadow.

Synopsis
Prodigy harmonica player Natalie feels life cannot be worth living if she is denied her right to strive for, and achieve, greatness. When free-spirited singer Annie moves in next door, the two meet accidentally and find themselves at odds over Natalie’s oppressive family. Music ends up bonding them, and they decide that partnering – rather than being rivals – is their jam. Natalie must then choose between following her highest life’s purpose, or holding her family together.
