Synopsis
Hit with the realization that things are spiraling out of his control, a widowed father rushes to keep his memories alive.
Alfonso M. Rodriguez is a NYC based filmmaker + photographer.
In 2011, he graduated from the School of Visual Arts, earning a
BFA in Film and Video. Since then, his work has been broadcast on PBS Channel THIRTEEN and has screened at over 30 film festivals worldwide including the HBO sponsored Newfest. In addition, his photography has been showcased at the Jadite Galleries and featured in the art magazine – ArtAscent. He is currently a freelance editor, videographer, and photographer.
The title for my film, RECuerdo, is a Spanish word that translates to “memory” or “remembrance” and is visually stylized to reference the “record” signal ubiquitous on home video camcorders.
RECuerdo is my first foray into the world of animation. I wanted to bring the human themes of love, parenthood, life, and death that are common in my live-action narratives to a new medium.
