Short experimental piece about the idea of reaching for your dreams and goals no matter the cause. Young boy is dealing with depression, he is contemplating if his career choice was fit for him.
Director: Michael Artiles
Michael Artiles is a filmmaker from Brooklyn New York, graduated from (CUNY) College of Staten Island in 2015 with honors. He has been on the front line with his immaculate, educative short films. He is the director and editor of short film Nothing to Something (2012) which has received a number of positive reviews for its creativity and not leaving out the majestic nature of education it passes to its viewers. Michael has always taken interest in learning more about filming art. He strives to achieve the best out of what he does, with an attitude of never tolerating failure. His work has been exhibited at the College of Staten Island Film Festival 2015; won Best Documentary and other various festivals and events like The Red Hook Film Festival 2014, North Carolina Family Film Festival 2014, and West Virginia Filmmakers Film Festival 2014. Also, his short documentary Dead Man Walking (2013) was screened at Sir Charlie Darwin Film Festival in London, UK.
Michael’s parents were born in Dominican Republic, they immigrated to America. They settled in Brooklyn New York, where he was raised.
