Paraguayan-American Filmmaker and Photographer whose works are characterized by the depiction of brutal reality and concealed human emotions. Michael studied Photography at Paraguayan art institute El Instituto de la Imagen, and has studied Film at FAMU in Prague and American University in Washington DC. He has a film featured in the 2015 Cannes Court Métrage repertoire and has been granted American University’s Ron Sutton Award.
I am a the son of a Paraguayan mother and an American father. I grew up in Guatemala and Colombia in my early years, and then came back to Paraguay to settle and finish my studies. After graduating from High school I went to the United States to study film at American University. In mid 2015, after graduating, I moved back to Paraguay to push the film industry and make more films happen in the country which is not that known for its film making.
