Maritza fantasizes about all of the ways she would stand up for herself after one too many slights from her coworkers — until one day, fantasizing isn’t enough. This darkly funny short comedy explores the ways men, and even other women, often fail to support women of color in the workplace.
A native Pennsylvanian and current Washingtonian, Alexis Pazmiño is pursuing an MA in Film and Video at American University. Alexis served as a director and writer for “Chesapeake Footsoldiers,” a documentary for Maryland Public Television’s Chesapeake Bay Week 2016. She works in higher ed fundraising, and has performed stand-up comedy in the DC area. Alexis is passionate about tearing down the patriarchy, one joke at a time.
