Sometimes it takes a global shut down to realize that full filing your personal goal of directing a narrative film is timeless. “Lodo” is a coming of age story about Eru who lost his mother at a young age and is now being raised by his grandmother played by Laura Patalano (Netflix-“Gentefied”). The idea stems from a short story my aunt and cousin wrote titled “El Alma del Lodo”. It’s a Mexican fable story about a boy who gets haunted by the mud of a local cemetery. I was intrigued by the stories spirituality and unique-ness. It was also a perfect opportunity to pay homage to my family in Guadalajara, Mexico. Having worked in the film industry for 18 years as a director of photography, “Lodo” is my directorial debut. The film was lensed by DP Jeff Dolen (HBO-“McMillions”). This film has been an amazing journey that started 8 years ago. Thank you for your consideration. Cheers!
