Synopsis

Three homeless, illegal immigrants struggle to survive on the streets of Los Angeles.

Director’s Biography

Nicholas Joseph Cunha, son of the known journalist Raimundo Lima, was born in Manhattan, NY. At the age of 19, he directed his first short film, “Outdated”, followed by “Daisy”, at the age of 20. In 2016 got the “Best International Short Film” award at LABRFF for the short “Red Souls”. Cunha has directed 7 shorts in total, and is attached in multiple projects throughout 2017.

Director Statement

Immigrant Brothers tells a story that goes deeper than just friendship. It brings awareness to the situation of our homeless immigrant youth community, who go through so much. In order to survive, they sometimes have to sacrifice their dignity. This is done through a compelling, visual and emotional ride that is Immigrant Brothers.
