Synopsis
“Anything is possible with my hoops on…” Hoop Girls is an empowering new digital series on the stages of womanhood, as seen through their hoop earrings, told in poetry and spoken word. A love letter to women and their larger-than-life hoops. The Hoop Girls aren’t limited to any one group of characters, but rather the series captures different anecdotes of women and their hoops; women living their life through all walks of life, succeeding, failing, growing, dreaming. This first episode, Chapter 1: I Am the Hoop, Hear Me Roar, kicks off the first season with four actresses speaking on the connection to the circular shape in our world, our universe. The earth, the sun, clocks, compasses, and of course, hoops. The characters command for their voices to be heard, like a loud roar in the city.
