Director: Marcos Carrasco
Marcos Carrasco is a Venezuelan-Ecuadorian multidisciplinary artist with a BFA in Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Film Studies and a BFA in Graphic Design from University Autonomous of Guadalajara. He has produced Animated short films, Visual Effects, Drawing, Illustration, Sequential art, Painting, Printmaking, documentary Photography, Music, Film, and Stereoscopic Video-art installations. Among his latest work is his film ¨HERE¨(2014) a satire about the war for oil, is his graduation film to obtain a BFA in animation. His short animated film ¨Help me¨ a critique against Gaza´s bombings was nominated for Bilbao film Festival 2009 and was also part of a giant stereoscopic installation ¨URBANOSCOPIA: The Schrodinger´s Box¨ This video art installation´s subject was the critical survival of the human essence in claustrophobic concrete boxes called cities. He has also presented Several Photography exhibitions about the Latin American reality and the political demagogic exploitation of the poor named ¨On Any Sidewalk¨. Marcos is also a Jazz musician.
