Synopsis
FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY focuses on gentrification caused by the recent emergence of art galleries in my hometown of East Los Angeles and its neighboring community of Boyle Heights, and how they contribute to the displacement of families and the foreclosures of local businesses.
Biography
I was born and raised in East Los Angeles, and I say that proudly. As I often like to say, I am just a 21 year-old Mexican-American kid from East LA following his dream. I graduated from James A. Garfield High School in 2013 and I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Documentary Production from Cal State Long Beach in 2017.
