Synopsis

When Angela arrives to her latest babysitting gig she is buzzed into the home but no one is there to greet her. After a brief call with the Mother, she heads upstairs to check on Matteo, the little boy she was hired to look after. She finds Matteo scared and alone and despite her best efforts to calm him down and get him to bed, Matteo won’t go to sleep. He can’t. El Cuco is hungry and he needs to be fed.

El Cuco is Hungry is a modern interpretation of the Latin American folktale about a dark, shapeless monster that appears out of nowhere to kidnap and eat children who disobey their parents and don’t fall asleep.

  Biography

Daniel Garcia, Writer/Director
Daniel Garcia is an award winning music video, commercial and film director. He founded Yes Boss, a multimedia production company, based in Brooklyn, where he directs a wide range of live action and animated projects. Daniel began his journey designing labels for santería potions sold at local botánicas. Skilled in both graphic design and animation, he launched a successful career in advertising which he then took freelance, ultimately working with some of the leading production studios in the industry. Daniel has directed commercial work for notable brands like Nike, Adidas, Adult Swim, and Google. He has also directed award winning music videos for major musical acts like LCD Soundsystem, Future, J Dilla, and TV on the Radio. Daniel’s work reflects his diverse talents and interests, among which he lists cartoons, caffeine, and creepy things.
