Synopsis

Fran is a young, fab, queer Latino who dreams of leaving his small town in Texas and moving to LA to pursue his dream of becoming a famous YouTuber. Fran UNAPOLOGETICALLY expresses himself through his eccentric fashion in a place where he knows he is not accepted. But what are the consequences of being true to ourselves? Shot entirely in Vlog Format join us while we watch this DREAMER on his journey.

Director Biography – Stephanie Osuna-Hernandez

Stephanie Hernandez is a Latina writer, director, and video producer from Inglewood, CA. She started in digital, specifically at We Are Mitú, where she produced, directed, and edited viral content for a millennial Latinx audience. Then, she directed for various Latinx small businesses.
After that, she connected with Marvin Lemus and Linda Y. Chavez, the co-creators of Gentefied, right before they went into production for the show. She was an assistant for both of them and social media manager during production. She then got approached to direct bilingual branded videos for Popsugar. She is currently assisting Linda Y. Chavez and now a contributor for Netflix’s Con Todo, their Latinx focused vertical, where she creates social content around their titles. She wrote and directed two shorts, No Answer & Pantaya. She is currently submitting her third short, Dreamer, to film festivals, and she in pre-production for her next short film, Tortillas on the Comal. She’s also writing two pilots (First Gen. and Paola’s Vida) and two features (Sami & Eli and Fated Encounter). Her main focus is writing and directing Rom-Com’s and Coming of Age that center Latinx and marginalized communities because we deserve to see ourselves happy, in love, and going through the wins and pains of growing up.
