Alejandra Hinojosa was born in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico and raised in the border between Matamoros, Mexico and Brownsville, USA, where she discovered her passion for Directing music videos. Her passion to tell stories lead her to study filmmaking in Los Angeles,CA at the USC of Cinematic Arts and New York Film Academy.
As a filmmaker, she had the opportunity to work and travel internationally to direct artists such as Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, J Balvin, Maluma, Sebastian Yatra, Deja Cat, John Legend, Ricky Martin, DJ, Snake, Diplo, Sofia Reyes, French Montana, Claptone, Leroy Sanchez, Ben Carrillo, and many more.
Alejandra also got the opportunity to direct award winning short films with Stephen Baldwin, Vadhir Derbéz, Rachel Vallori, and Imman Crossson. Her recent short film “Breaking the ICE” has won more than 30 film festivals internationally such as Austin Comedy Film Festival, Los Angeles Independent Film Festival, New York short film festival, Los Angeles CineFest, Official Latino Film Festival, Nyc short comedy Film Festival, Portland Comedy Short Film Festival, Oaxaca Film Festival, and many more.
