Synopsis

The world has turned into concrete, neither vegetation nor wildlife exist anymore. A survivor spends his days wandering and searching for pills which have become mankind’s nourishment, until he finds a place that overturns his routine.

Director’s Biography

Bachelor of Audiovisual Arts degree from the University of Guadalajara and a founding member of the production company Nahuyaca Films where he has been active as film director and editor.
His short films Emilio’s Box, Fireworks and San Cosmo’s Band have been screened in festivals throughout the world and received numerous awards due to their cinematic sensibilities; best narrative short at the 7th. International Latino Film Festival San Francisco Bay Area; Official selection at the 31 Huelva Film Festival, Spain; Official selection at the Morelia International Film Festival 2010; Finalist at the AXN Film Festival; Official selection at the 21 Guadalajara International Film Festival, among others.
He is the editor and postproducer of the short films Prita Noire (Ariel award to best animation short 2012) and The Sad House (The eye award to best animation short Morelia International Film Festival 2013) by Sofía Carrillo, The Last Breath (Mayahuel award to best mexican short 20 Guadalajara International Film Festival) by Paola Chaurand and the feature documentary films Till the last drop… My love! by Beto Gómez and Make-up by Pavel Cortés.
His latest work as editor is the stop-motion short film Cerulia by Sofía Carrillo, which received the Rigo Mora award for Best Iberoamerican Animated Film at the 32nd Guadalajara International Film Festival, best animation Coral at the Habana Film Festival, and was part of the official selection at SITGES 2017, Spain.
He recently won 2nd place at ECOFILM Festival 2017 with his post apocalyptic narrative short film Three sisters.
