Director Statement

As an Afro-Mestiza Colombian filmmaker, I am committed to creating visual narratives that explore the female experience within the African diaspora at the intersection of art, culture, and social justice to help expand our visibility and celebrate our contributions. Sharing our creative work and unapologetically taking space for our stories within media is itself a political act and a means of resistance. I am passionate about uplifting and amplifying the creative projects of BIPOC youth throughout my career and through my work at Let’s Breakthrough.
