Synopsis
A young illegal immigrant crosses the border with a lunchbox full of cash in search of a wealthy American family.
Director’s Biography
Growing up on the border of what’s been labeled the most violent city in the world, Juarez MX, Zaragoza spent the first 18 years of his life fascinated by the very different lives his American born family and his Mexican born family experience. He moved to Los Angeles to tell stories that accurately represent their worlds.
Zaragoza wrote and produced the short film Project Skyborn, which earned a Vimeo Staff Pick, and a place as a finalist in HBO’s Project Greenlight. His directorial debut, The Painter, a dark comedy short film, played at several festivals and was an official selection of the STARZ Network Film Festival.
