Jose’i is a child who does not have someone to stay with while her mother goes to work, therefore she asked a mute neighbor to take care for him in her absence. Jose’i got very close with Olia, who was named this way because he was unable to pronounce her real name: Gloria. She announced herself with a bell every time she arrived home, so Jose’i listens to her and goes outside and play. Jose’i and Olia build a very strong relationship, until Olia dies. From that day, Jose’i often looks through the window to the yard. When her mother asks what does he looks, Jose’i tells her that Olia is calling him with her bell, but she ignores him. Jose’i decides to attend the call of the bell and goes to the yard to meet again with his friend.
