A nostalgic portrait of a Cuban-American family’s evolving cultural heritage.
Kevin Rios is a recent NYU Tisch School of the Arts graduate for Film/TV currently living and working in Los Angeles. His latest short film “Made of Sugar” won Sundance Institute & Adobe’s Project 1324 Challenge that granted him access to Sundance Film Festival 2016 and a mentorship with Jason Berman, Producer of “The Birth of a Nation.”
As a queer Cuban-American filmmaker my goal is to tell diverse stories ranging from a modern U.S. experience as a queer latino as well as Cuban stories effected by the Cuban revolution over the last 60 years.
