“Cuba Skate, is a film on skaters in Havana who are the global ambassadors to a non-profit USA based organization named Cuba Skate that provides the resources to local skaters in Cuba. They discuss their dreams of pursuing a full-time career in skating, their struggles, hopes of a brighter future on the island, and with the USA, and the ever-changing landscape of skateboarding culture.
Bronx, New York Native, Leyla T. Rosario has a background in advertising and production, with over 10 years of combined experience producing virtual reality, live action, short docs/docu-style, and animated content for clients/networks such as: ITVS, Kohl’s, SK-II, LG, HP, Rogers, Rolex, Chase, Verizon, Smirnoff, Estee Lauder…to name a few.
Leyla is curious about life, and all things in it. Leyla is an advocate for encouraging people to get out and explore the world. In addition to shooting short films, and creating content for brands, Leyla is a member of Con Artist Collective, a New York City based artist community, creative co-working space and gallery.
Currently, Leyla is the Executive Producer of Business Development at Click 3X., a NYC based production company that specializes in live action, augmented reality, virtual reality, animation, and digital content.
Being an only child gave her this hunger to get out and see the world. Leyla is a collector of passport stamps, both for work and pleasure. In her downtime she loves to box, dance, cycle around the crazy NYC streets, hang with my friends, family, and the coolest rescue dog named Cash.
